This Is Good
Published on May 1, 2010
At the beginning of the week I apologized in advance for being absent from Dirty Footprints Studio this week. You know…..I have so much to do and catch up on at work–before summer break is here again!!
But, the funny thing, the thing I’m taking a huge note of…..is….
I don’t think I ever really left. I still found the time and energy to post. Still found the space to hang out at least for a moment or two on Twitter and Facebook.
I’m starting to realize things. Like one, I am a blogger, and it’s something I really enjoy doing. Sure, it takes up a lot of my time and energy–but it is nourishing, rewarding, and exciting!! Dirty Footprints Studio turned 2 years old this week, and I think over these couple years I’ve started to grow fond and quite attached to this community here–and I’ve also started to learn how to set up boundaries for myself when it comes to what my blogging life actually looks and feels like.
This is good.
Two, I realized that even though I was super busy and exhausted, I still found time to do Yoga, meditate, and work out–oh, and cook a few slow meals with my honey. Those are all things I adore and LOVE to do as well.
This is good too.
How did I do it?
I’m not sure, to tell the truth. I just think, if you really LOVE something–really believe in it–you can squeeze a few extra minutes-even hours out of your day to fit it in.
Or maybe you just leave all the other garbage out–and there’s the space you’ve been looking for.
Either way, this is good as well.
