Pure LOVE.

I don’t know even where to start.
It’s been one week since Phoenix was born.
One week filled with ups and downs, laughter, tears, uncertainty, and trust.
One week overflowing with the greatest love I’ve ever known.
One week of tiny little smiles and dirty diapers.
One week of learning how to breast feed, learning how to sleep with a newborn near by, learning how to be a mother for the very first time.

It’s been one week–and it’s not as hard as I thought it would be.
Actually I’m surprised how natural it feels.
How I can’t remember….(like seriously)…I can’t remember life before him.
I barely even remember the labor–even though it was 18 hours long and terribly difficult for the both of us.

It’s been one week and each day feels like a  renewal of life.
I’m so grateful for this incredible gift I’ve been granted.This beautiful life I’ve been entrusted with–to guide, to love, to believe in.

It’s been one week.
The first week, of which I’m certain, will be his amazing life.
