UNAPOLOGETIC isn’t some “how to paint a face” class — we're gonna make self-portraits that break rules, flip off perfection, and unapologetically take up space.
Welcome to UNAPOLOGETIC — seven transformative weeks of making experimental, fearless, emotionally-robust self-portraits that don’t care about being “pretty” or even "looking" like you.
This is for artists who are DONE playing small and are ready to create exciting self portraits that possess meaning, depth, a little bit of weirdness, and actually feels a LOT like you.
Most of all — in the final three weeks of UNAPOLOGETIC, we're gonna go BIG!
Here’s what’s inside this glorious art explosion of a masterclass:
— Seven weekly 2-hour Zoom classes with demos, creative exercises, live Q&A, and time to make art. Each Zoom class is held on Wednesday at 9 AM (Los Angeles) / 12 PM (New York) / 5 PM (London) EXCEPT for our first class that is held on Thursday, June 12th. The final call on July 23rd is 90 minutes.
— Weekly homework that stretches you. Gently, but firmly.
— A private classroom to share work, ask questions, and high-five your fellow art rebels.

THE UNAPOLOGETIC CURRICULUM
Soul First, Perfection Never.
Week 1: THE BONES
We’re stripping it down to the bones. Black paint, bold brushstrokes, and zero hesitation. You’ll create a series of raw, expressive studies that cut straight to the essence — no color, no frills, just truth on paper. It’s gritty, freeing, and wildly satisfying.
Week 2: Limited Palette + Symbolic Depth
Color enters the chat — but with limits. You’ll work with a tight palette and start weaving in personal symbols and metaphors. Think of this as emotional alchemy: transforming inner truths into potent visual language.
Week 3: Deconstruct & Reconstruct
This week we tear it all apart — literally. We’ll slice, rip, rearrange, and reimagine previous work to create new pieces through collage, layering, and unexpected combinations. The goal? Shake things up and see what beauty rises from the chaos.
Week 4: Intuitive Narratives + Making Big Work
Time to go big. Really big. You’ll start your final self-portrait using all the layers, risks, symbols, and weird little whispers your intuition has offered you so far. This is where the narrative unfolds — bold, personal, and unfiltered.
Week 5: Grounding Your Courage
The big work continues, and so does your bravery. This week is about deepening — committing to your choices, trusting your process, and refining your visual voice. You’ll also get feedback and support as you bring your story to life on a larger scale.
Week 6: Co-Working Week: Create Together
This is our dedicated time to come together as a community and create. No formal lessons, no demos — just a sacred space to work on your self-portrait. You’ll get to show up, get feedback, and tap into the collective energy as we all push through final tweaks and finish the big work. It’s time to finalize your piece and solidify your vision with support.
Week 7: Review, Reflect, Rejoice
We gather to witness, reflect, and celebrate what you’ve created (and who you’ve become in the process). You’ll share your work, receive feedback, and take stock of your journey. Expect chills, clarity, and maybe a few tears — the good kind.
