This is for the artist who's been longing to disappear — just for a week — into somewhere remote, somewhere wild, somewhere that asks nothing of you except to show up for your practice.

There are only four weeks a year I open this up, and only one artist at a time. This isn't a workshop or a group retreat — it's just you and me, baby!

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

• Round-trip private driver to and from LIR Airport (or your hotel)

• Your own Studio Apartment — private entrance, bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, patio, desk, and access to my private pool

• All meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many made by my husband Hansel (he's an incredible cook & Costa Rican), the rest at some of our favorite local beachfront spots

• Two one-hour Zoom mentoring calls before you arrive, to set intentions and start sinking into the deeper currents before you even land

• Daily one-on-one mentoring — painting together, shared meals, beach walks, individually designed Paint Rituals, and guidance whenever you need it

• One Wednesday adventure of your choice: zipline, turtle hatching (December only), horseback riding, surf lessons, massage, ATV tour, waterfall visit, a day of plein air painting, sound healing, cacao ceremony, pottery class, private aerial yoga, the animal sanctuary — or simply a day off by the pool or ocean

• Ground transportation whenever we're together (and I'll happily call you a Tuk-Tuk if you want to explore solo)

WHAT TO EXPECT

You, me, and the magic of the jungle.
We'll spend one week together, Sunday to Saturday, immersed in the deeper currents of your practice and following the flow of your Artist Soul. Maybe there's something you're ready to receive, or release, or finally create. Maybe you just want to know what it feels like to fully trust those deeper currents instead of fighting them. Whatever it is — come join me.

HOW WE WILL FLOW

Sunday — Arrival
Check-in is at 3 PM. After the three-hour journey from the airport, you'll arrive at my Jungle Home & Studio. Settle in, make yourself at home. That evening we'll share dinner together, then open your solo-retreat with a ceremonial Paint Ritual before you rest.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday — Deep Work
Each day is individually designed around your intentions and filled with as much painting as your Artist Soul wants. I'll guide you deeper into the mythic space of your practice — the places where your life and your art are already talking to each other. We'll take these conversations over meals, beach walks, and studio time, with room for adventure and serendipity to sneak in. (Don't miss Tuesday's farmer's market — the boutiques nearby are pretty magical too.)

Wednesday — Adventure Day
We start by stepping away from the practice entirely, with a jungle adventure to nourish your senses — thrill, relax, or reconnect with Mother Nature, your call. Then back to the studio for the rest of the day: painting, juicy conversation, rest.

Friday — Closing
Your last full day. We work through the morning, then after lunch we make space for a Vision, a ceremonial Paint Ritual, and dinner by the ocean.

Saturday — Integration & Goodbye
One last Costa Rican breakfast together — full of conversation about what integration looks like once you're home. Check-out is at 11 AM. Expect hugs and Rocket kisses.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

Getting Here

You'll fly into the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, known as Guanacaste Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Costa Rica.

I recommend flying in a day early and staying the night at the Hampton or Hilton Garden Inn near the airport. Both of these hotels have regular shuttle that pick-up and drop-off at the airport.

A private driver will pick you up for the three-hour journey to my Jungle Home & Studio.

On Saturday, the private driver can take you back to LIR, or if you want to stay longer in Nosara, I can recommend some fabulous hotels and Airbnbs nearby.

About Nosara, Costa Rica

Nosara, Costa Rica is a remote beach town tucked into the jungles of Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula — known for its biodiversity, its laid-back pace, and the artists, surfers, and yogis who've quietly fallen in love with it over the years.

Nosara is NOT a resort town. There's no strip of high-rises or all-inclusive hotels — just jungle, ocean, dirt roads, and a community that moved here (like I did!) in search of something a little more real. It's the kind of place that gets under your skin.

Where You Will Stay

My Jungle Home & Studio sits on a small gated property in the Nosara Springs neighborhood of Nosara, Costa Rica. Surrounded by mango trees and a family of howler monkeys.

From the moment you arrive you'll feel like you're in a safe, nourishing womb.

Nosara Springs is a nature-lover's dream — one of the few neighborhoods still shaded by centuries-old trees, with an abundance of wildlife and a 20-minute walk to the beach.

One note: the roads here are dirt, uneven, and full of potholes, with no sidewalks and, well, adventurous drivers. Bring real walking shoes, not just sandals.

Life In The Jungle

Nosara is a remote ocean town known for its biodiversity — bugs of all kinds, lizards, monkeys, and plenty of other adorable creatures are just part of life here, including at my house. Bring mosquito spray, especially for evenings and don't be surprised if you meet a gecko or two while you're here.

If you're joining me in December, you're in for something special: we'll head to nearby Ostional in the evening to witness baby turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean. It's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

How Our Days Will Flow

Costa Rica sits close to the equator, so sunrise and sunset happen around the same time nearly all year (about 5:30 AM and 5:30 PM), with an even 12-hour day. We'll build the rhythm of your retreat around honoring that natural pace.

Expect lots of one-on-one time together — but also space for you to paint, reflect, and dream alone too.

Choosing Your Solo Retreat Dates

I am only offering FOUR Jungle Studio Solo Retreats a year! Here are the dates for 2026/ 2027:

• Sunday, December 6 - Saturday. December 12, 2026

• Sunday, January 24 - Saturday, January 30, 2027

• Sunday, March 7 - Saturday, March 13, 2027

• Sunday, April 18 - Saturday, April 24, 2027

December marks the end of rainy season and also the end of turtle season in Ostional. For the artist that attends the December Solo Retreat we'll sneak away to Ostinonal to witness the turtles hatching and making their way to the ocean.

January through April is dry season in Nosara — more vibrant, and busier with tourists.

My Jungle Home & Studio sits outside the tourist zones either way, so no matter when you come, you'll have a quiet oasis of creativity and nourishment waiting for you.

Travel Insurance Required

Comprehensive travel insurance is required for the Jungle Studio Solo-Retreat. A policy with a Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) upgrade is highly encouraged, so you're covered if you need to cancel for a reason outside your policy's standard terms.

Do your own research before purchasing, but here are a few companies known for offering comprehensive travel insurance with CFAR upgrades: Travelex Insurance Services, Trawick International, and IMG (International Medical Group).

It's best to purchase travel insurance as soon as possible after booking — most CFAR upgrades must be added within a set window (often 14–21 days) of your first deposit, so waiting could mean losing the option altogether.

What We'll Cover on Our Pre-Retreat Calls

Before you ever set foot in Costa Rica, we'll have two one-hour Zoom calls together.

The first, scheduled shortly after your final payment, is a chance to talk through the practical stuff, like what art supplies to pack and what to expect once you land.

The second call happens about a week before you arrive — where we'll begin setting the intention for your solo-retreat. What are you hoping to receive, release, or create? What's calling you to this?

Together, these calls help us start sinking into the deeper currents of your practice before you even set foot in the jungle.

The Jungle Solo Retreat Is Sold Out!

You must have studied with Connie in her mentorship program, in-person retreats, or online workshop to attend a Jungle Studio Solo Retreat.

Each Solo Retreat begins on Sunday (check-in 3 PM)
and ends Saturday (check-out 11 AM).

DEPOSIT & FINAL BALANCE

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

All deposits and payments are non-refundable, except as outlined below.

If you cancel BEFORE your final payment is due: We'll offer your space to the waitlist and the Paint Wisdom community. If the space sells, we'll refund your deposit minus a $250 cancellation fee. There is no guarantee that your space will sell.

If you cancel AFTER your final payment is made: You have the option to sell your space to another artist, at your selling price or below — that choice is entirely yours. We will announce your offer to the waitlist and the Paint Wisdom community once, but it's your responsibility to collect payment for the space. There is no guarantee that your space will sell as well, but many times it does if you offer it at a discount.

We know life happens, which is exactly why travel insurance with health coverage is required for this retreat. Please make sure your policy also covers emergency or trip cancellations, so you're protected if something unexpected comes up.

In the case of acts of God, pandemic, disaster, war, border closure or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to retain your fees and reschedule or make any necessary changes to the event.

If you need to cancel your trip, cannot attend, or must leave the event for any reason — including illness, injury, family emergencies, airport delays, weather-related disruptions, or any other last-minute circumstances — Connie Solera cannot provide any refund of any amounts you paid. It is highly encouraged that you purchase sufficient travel insurance to provide protection from these possible risks.
