I’ve always been called — pulled, seduced, downright claimed — by the Feminine in my painting practice. For eight years I guided painters through Painting The Feminine and even created a whole luscious journal devoted to it.

FACETS is my return to this exploration in a completely new way — deeper, more embodied, more mythic, more ritual-soaked, more “holy shit, who am I becoming?” than anything I’ve created before.

FACETS is not just about painting the Feminine — But embodying her.

FACETS is a descent into the wild, buried, brilliant parts of yourself — the ones that whisper in dreams, tug at your ribs, or roar from the shadowed corners of your imagination. This is where myth slips into your bloodstream, where paint becomes ritual, and where your Artist Soul finally gets the full body it’s been aching for.

Over three sessions, we’ll walk with twelve archetypes — each accompanied by a goddess who makes no apologies for her power, her pleasure, or her fire. Together, we’ll cross three mythic realms — TRUTH, FLOW, TRANSFORM — and unearth the energies that move your art, shape your life, and awaken your inner myth-maker.

TRUTH is where we begin — at the bone-deep, soul-lit place inside you that already knows. This session calls in the four archetypes who won’t let you lie to yourself: the Mystic who burns steady, the Crone who guides the thresholds, the Priestess who breathes ritual into form, and the Queen who claims her throne like she was born on it (because she was).

This is the realm of clarity, sovereignty, seeing without flinching, remembering what you’re made of, and painting from a place you can’t fake.

This is where your Artist Soul steps forward and says: I’m here. I’m listening. I’m ready.

TRUTH is the first doorway — the one you cross when you’re done pretending you don’t know who you are, what you want, or what your art is capable of.

Here, we work with four archetypes who deal in light, shadow, knowing, and unapologetic authority:

HESTIA (Mystic): the quiet flame inside you that never extinguishes, the one that teaches presence, devotion, and attention so tender it becomes holy.
HEKATE (Crone): torchbearer, threshold-walker, the one who says, “Come — you’re ready,” and then hands you a lantern to walk through your own dark.
IXCHELL (Priestess): moonblood wisdom, ritual keeper, intuitive weaver — she pours the sacred straight into your paint water.
MAEVE (Queen): sovereign, fierce, embodied power — the archetype who teaches you how to take up space with authority and without apology.

Each archetype begins with an ACTIVATION — a movement-based, energy-shifting practice designed to shake loose the psychic dust so your creative force can flow freely.

Newsprint Practice

“What’s a newsprint practice?” you ask.

It’s a fast, physical, liberating process that moves energy through your body, emotions, and intuition.

We use newsprint because it’s non-precious, deeply forgiving, and historically tied to the liberation of voices and visions. And here, we use it to help you shed, unstick, and unleash.

For this practice, you’ll need:

A large newsprint pad
An easel if possible (I recommended THIS ONE)
OR something sturdy to lean the pad against
OR a large table (just know newsprint practice moves fast — so set yourself up for success!)

During this practice, you’ll be flipping pages like a witch in a windstorm — trust me, you’ll want space to move.

You’ll also want a dedicated sketchbook for your FACETS journey — a place to art journal, reflect, log your studio discoveries, track visions, and weave together the threads of your mythic year.

This is where you paint BIG — where body, breath, intuition, and archetype all collide on the page.

For these sessions, you’ll want a substrate approximately as tall as you, hung or tacked up so you can stand, sway, dance, stomp, and move freely while painting.

You’ll meet the archetypes who know how to soften you open, shake you loose, and sweep you into the river of your creativity: the Earth Mother who nourishes, the Healer who restores, the Lover who ignites, and the Visionary who channels what wants to be born.

FLOW is where you remember that art isn’t just made —it FLOWS through you.

FLOW is the second portal — the one that dissolves tension, melts old patterns, and teaches you to create from the body rather than the brain. Here, you’ll explore the four archetypes who move through feeling, instinct, pleasure, and imagination:

GAIA (Earth Mother): grounding, nourishment, abundance — the deep exhale your creative practice has been craving.
ISIS (Healer): the alchemist who turns vulnerability into restoration, integration, and wholeness.

TRANSFORM is the final descent — the shadowed, holy, catalytic arc where the deepest changes happen. This session takes you into your underworld, your edges, your creative breaking points… and then guides you back up again, marked and remade.

Here, you meet four archetypes who don’t just change your art — they change your life:

INANNA (Initiate): the mythic descent into the underworld — surrender, stripping down, and the rebirth that only comes after you’ve let everything fall away
SEDNA (Wounded Healer): the alchemist of pain — turning the sharp places, the grief, the old stories into deep creative power

Our painting practice inside FACETS is multi-layered, myth-soaked, and gloriously embodied.
Below are the essentials you’ll need to enter this work with both gusto and reverence.

THE ACTIVATION MODULES

Each archetype begins with an ACTIVATION — a movement-based, energy-shifting practice designed to shake loose the psychic dust so your creative force can flow freely.

Newsprint Practice

“What’s a newsprint practice?” you ask.

It’s a fast, physical, liberating process that moves energy through your body, emotions, and intuition.

We use newsprint because it’s non-precious, deeply forgiving, and historically tied to the liberation of voices and visions. And here, we use it to help you shed, unstick, and unleash.

For this practice, you’ll need:

A large newsprint pad
An easel if possible (I recommended THIS ONE)
OR something sturdy to lean the pad against
OR a large table (just know newsprint practice moves fast — so set yourself up for success!)

During this practice, you’ll be flipping pages like a witch in a windstorm — trust me, you’ll want space to move.

You’ll also want a dedicated sketchbook for your FACETS journey — a place to art journal, reflect, log your studio discoveries, track visions, and weave together the threads of your mythic year.

THE IMMERSION CALLS

This is where you paint BIG — where body, breath, intuition, and archetype all collide on the page.

For these sessions, you’ll want a substrate approximately as tall as you, hung or tacked up so you can stand, sway, dance, stomp, and move freely while painting.

You have a few options:

Mixed Media Paper Roll – the most versatile and durable
Brown Kraft / Packing Paper – affordable and surprisingly delicious to paint on
Poster Boards (3–4 taped together) – simple, accessible, effective

Choose whichever suits you — what matters is size, movement, and freedom. You will need enough for four BIG paintings.

How does FACETS work exactly?

Each session of FACETS explores four archetypes through the lens of goddess myth and moves in a ritual rhythm — a rhythm you’ll feel in your bones.

Every archetype unfolds over a two-week arc and is guided by a specific goddess current.

Week 1 — Activation

You’ll receive a pre-recorded module packed with teachings, studio altar ideas, journal prompts, a newprint practice, and painting invitations for your sketchbook that open the portal to the archetype and goddess we’re working with. You move through it on your own time — in your studio, in your journal, in your painting practice. Activation modules are released after each closing call and opening call.

Week 2 — Immersion

We gather for a 3-hour live Zoom session where Connie guides you through movement, energy-shaking-mark-making newsprint practice, juicy discussion, and the creation of a large intuitive painting rooted in the archetype/goddess we’re invoking.

Following Week — Closing Ritual

The next week, we meet for a 90-minute live call to seal, digest, and integrate what you opened — creatively and personally. This is where we share process, paintings, revelations, and the deeper stories beneath the art. After the Closing Ritual, I post the Activation Module for the next archetype in the classroom.

Over each session of FACETS, we journey through four archetypes, learning the goddess myths that anchor them — held inside community, guided support, and a private online classroom.

Do I need to take Painting the Feminine before joining FACETS?

No! No! No!

Painting the Feminine is not a prerequisite — not required, not encouraged, not even relevant anymore.

FACETS is a totally different creature — bigger, bolder, more embodied, more mythic, more ritual-soaked.

Painting the Feminine had its beautiful season (and I loved her dearly), but I ended that course years ago. I’m not the same artist, not the same woman, and FACETS comes from a completely new place inside me.

There’s only one real prerequisite for FACETS:
Do not be a beginner.

You need at least three years of art-making under your apron, the ability to work independently, and a deep, delicious hunger to explore archetypes and goddesses with me — in the studio, in your body, in your mythic imagination.

If that’s you?
You’re ready.

Do your thing. Let’s go.

How much time will I need to dedicate each week?

You’ll want to set aside 3–5 hours per week on average.

Here’s the breakdown:

ACTIVATION WEEKS: 2–3 hours to move through the module, journal, and explore in your studio at your own pace.
IMMERSION WEEKS: a 3-hour live session, plus whatever studio time you choose to give your big piece.
CLOSING-CALL WEEKS: a 90-minute live call, plus a little integration and reflection time. (Activation modules are released right after closing calls.)

Some weeks you’ll want more space, some weeks less — but 3–5 hours is a solid rhythm for staying fully engaged without burning out.

Think of FACETS as a creative pulse in your life: steady, deep, and totally doable if you’re committed.

What type of space do I need?

For FACETS, you’ll want a space that lets you move, make marks, and get fully into your painting practice.

Immersion Calls:

A wall space roughly your size where you can hang paper.
Room to move around freely and splash or drip paint on the floor — cover the floor with a cloth, tarp, cardboard, or butcher paper.
Optional: cover the wall with cardboard or plastic for extra protection. Cardboard works well because you can tack your paper directly to it.
A small table or tray nearby for palette, brushes, and water.
Space to move and stretch — you’ll be using your body as part of the process.
A table easel or floor easel for your newsprint pad during expressive mark-making practice.

Other Weeks:

A work table for sketchbooks, journaling, altar building, and other creative explorations and an easel for newprint practice too!

FACETS is about embodying your archetypes, so your space should let you get messy, move, and fully show up.

Will I be required to move and dance?

Yes. And no. FACETS is a full-body, immersive painting experience — your Artist Soul isn’t just in your hands or your head, it lives in your body. You’ll be invited to move, sway, stretch, and dance however your body allows, and to make sounds as part of creating your immersive painting.

You are not being graded. You are not performing for anyone. But if you want this process to unlock fully, to release what’s stuck, and to feel the fire of your Artist Soul, you need to show up. Weird, messy, ecstatic — whatever your body wants to do. This is where the magic happens.

FACETS is NOT therapy. Here's why...

Let’s be crystal clear: FACETS is not therapy.

I’m not your therapist. This isn’t group counseling. No one is diagnosing, treating, or fixing anything here.

We’re not doing “talk about your childhood” — we’re doing move it, paint it, alchemize it.

Will it feel healing? Probably.
Will it stir your shadow? Almost definitely.
Does that make it therapy? Absolutely not.

FACETS is creative initiation, not clinical care.

If you want a therapist, get a therapist.

If you want myth, embodiment, paint, truth, and transformation — welcome.

What if I can not make the Zoom calls live?

Will I learn to paint like Connie?

Nope. FACETS isn’t about copying my style — it’s about expressing your own voice, elevating your own mark, making your own way onto the paper.

That said, I will give you an intimate peek into my own process with each archetype and goddess. You’ll see how I move, make marks, and embody these energies — not to copy, but to inspire, spark ideas, and show you what’s possible when you paint from your Artist Soul.

This is about you, your body, your intuition, and your mythic creativity — not about becoming me.

How long do I have access to FACETS?

You’ll have unlimited access to all Zoom recordings and activation modules — so you can revisit them whenever you want.

The private classroom will eventually close, but you’ll get at least two weeks’ notice before it does. When that happens, you’ll receive a PDF with links to every recording and all class content, so nothing gets lost and you can continue your practice on your own terms.

You don’t need fancy gear — just the basics to fully engage:
