Today Was One of Those Days

It was one of those days that the first laugh I had was at the coffee shop, where I went to write in my journal. As I put the honey into my green tea a table of old men began to flirt with me. I couldn’t help but laugh…and I told them that their sweetness was the best way to start my day–and they smiled too when I addressed them as Gentlemen. (We don’t use that word enough honestly.) Then I laughed some more as I watched them through the window…it was part of their morning routine it seems, to make women smile as they sugar up their coffee! Nothing wrong with that. Think of how much more pleasant the world would be if we offered up harmless flirting and sincere compliments to brighten up each others day.

It was one of those days that I listened to Beth Orton over and over again. Her songs make me feel like Autumn (even though this video is so obviously Spring!). Doesn’t it remind you of leaves changing colors and warm afghans?

It was one of those days that I felt like painting stars again. This one I call “Even In the Morning”. (But I’m still not finished yet.)

Life is good. Purple and green Pictures, Images and Photos

It was one of those days where the words from my Yoga teacher resonated with me all day. She quoted a Yogi whom I can’t remember his name, and I’m paraphrasing here…but basically this very wise man said: Yoga does not make life better. It makes me better at life.

Peace & Love.
