Painting The Feminine :: Cycles

With this piece, I kept thinking about lunar cycles.

How there is a time that the moon shines brightly for all to see–and other times when it hides it’s face in shadow.

The Feminine encompasses all the faces of the lunar cycle–doesn’t it?

I can think of times with myself that I feel bright and confidant as the full moon–and other times I prefer to burrow into my own sacred space and retreat from the world.

Maybe the Feminine is neither one way or another–but a continuous cycle of emotions and ways of being.
