I Buried Some Dreams There
Published on February 10, 2015
I chose a space where her roots were exposed
and she was dripping,
moist.
Open to receive.
I walked along her shores
breathing in grey,
collecting shells
broken and beaten.
I got on my knees
whispering prayers.
I clawed at her surface.
I longed for redemption.

I opened my heart
and watched fear pour from it
like lava in rain.
And I buried some dreams
there.
That day.
