What I’ve learned over the years is that it doesn’t matter if an artist is a total newbie, seasoned like a Louisiana chicken, or somewhere in between — relating to our artistic stye can sometimes get our apron strings all knotted-up and frayed. I wanted to share a quick glimpse into an intuitive drawing I created using my beloved soft pastels.

So yes, it’s true, these little chalky blocks of pigment bliss can get dusty. I think that’s one of the main reasons why for the longest time I wasn’t a big fan of soft pastels.
