Studio Updates

Every New and Full Moon I send out a newsletter intended to nourish my reader’s creative rhythms and keep her art tethered to her soul. Basically I tell a little story about my artist life and/or share some juicy insight I received through my creative practice or teaching.

It’s been almost ten years now since I’ve owned an alarm clock. Without missing a beat, I wake up each morning at 5:30 AM and begin my day. My usual routine: bathroom, teeth, workout clothes and then straight out the door with my dog, Rocket.

I believe with all my heart that retreats are an important part of an artist’s sanity and power. We need time away from our daily routines and responsibilities to dig deep into our own creative wells or to simply fill them back up again.
