I Wish I Wish

To the little spaces between my toes…
to the gap between my teeth…
to the crease that appears around my waist when i turn a certain way…
to the grey hairs that are taking camp behind the tops of my ears and around my forehead…
to my misshaped un-manicured finger nails…
to my lazy eye that appears when I haven’t had enough sleep…
to the little thoughts that creep around my heart and try to taint it with insecurity…
to the memories I still hold hostage as the dominant truth of me…
to the dreams that are still waiting for their turn to breathe….
to the little parts of me that I think is ok to neglect….
to the quiet space of my soul that I long to reconnect with.
