Painting The Feminine :: Commitment
Published on November 16, 2013
I have this quote hanging in my kitchen…unfortunately I can’t remember who it’s by…
The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your commitment.
That’s exactly what I was exploring in this journal spread of my Painting The Feminine series.
Commitment.
I didn’t feel like painting. And as I did–the painting reflected that. It went through numerous stages and disasters–until I finally felt a bit settled with this.
Committed.
There’s a certain power that comes solely from staying committed. To an idea. A relationship. A process. A value. A decision.
I think, there’s something divinely feminine about entering into a commitment as well.
That’s why I kept with this painting. It was the actual honoring of my commitment that was the Feminine of what I was painting.
