Even though you can’t tell it in this beautiful photo by Darrah Parker — my hands are usually crusted in paint. ⠀

Be it canvas, my art journal, or simply on paper — I love to use my hands to smear, slide and slap paint around like nobody’s business. ⠀

And because this is not the healthiest of choices, I know– I purposely go through a 30 day cleanse every Spring & Fall to help purge the metals and toxins my body latches on to as I’m following my painting bliss. ⠀
