Lately I put on an apron before I begin to paint. And heat up a pot of water for tea. I step a little softer through my studio and focus on the rhythm of my breath. This isn’t a hobby or a game or something I do on the side. I’m serious about my dream. I’m serious about being FEARLESS and moving forward. I’m serious about taking risks. About jumping off of cliffs. Of possibly not being prepared. Of facing the chance I’ll slip up and realize this was all in vain. I’m serious. And that’s the thing that scares…

Everywhere I look online someone is sharing their excitement with one or all of the beautiful projects happening online this November…and yes, it is only November 3rd–so the energy is definitely infectious. But something’s different this year…..I don’t feel pressured to join–or worried that maybe I’ll be missing out on something BIG and creative juicy by opting out! Truth is I have so much on my own plate already–and things that I am having so much fun…

A long time ago I started a Dirty Footprints Studio newsletter…it had a short shelf life, even though it might have fooled you by sitting at the bottom of this blog collecting dust and taking names and emails for over a year.
